Our Client is looking for a Science Teacher to work within an academically strong mixed secondary school in York. The successful teacher will teach across KS3 and KS4.
School Information
This 11–18 mixed school has around 1,300 students and is recognised for its exceptional science provision. In 2024, 95% achieved grades 9–4 at GCSE, and Science results exceeded 92%. The school features modern laboratories, a science garden, and links with local universities to enhance practical learning.
Teachers describe the atmosphere as inclusive, innovative and collaborative. Staff enjoy professional autonomy supported by strong leadership. The school has a well-established mentoring programme, ongoing CPD sessions and a culture of shared success. It is an excellent environment for teachers who are ambitious and passionate about their subject.
Experience and Qualifications
• Science Teacher with the ability to teach KS3 and KS4
• A formal teaching qualification with QTS (i.e. PGCE)
• Legal ability to work within the UK
