General Foreman Are you an experienced General Foreman with a background in highways looking for your next freelance opportunity? A new freelance opportunity has become available for a General Foreman based in Oxfordshire, working on planned highways term maintenance across the area. The Opportunity You'll be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of site activities and gangs, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standards. The schemes will cover a variety of highways maintenance and civils works, including:
- Road repairs and replacement
- Footway repairs and replacement
- Drainage, ditches and grips
- Kerbs and edgings
- Road markings
- Modular surfaces
- Traffic management
- Reactive repairs
- Previous experience as a General Foreman / Foreman within highways
- Strong understanding of highways maintenance and civils works
- Experience supervising gangs and subcontractors
- Good understanding of health & safety and site documentation

- SMSTS or SSSTS
- First Aid
