An opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 MRI Radiographer to support the MRI service at UHDB. We operate 11 MRI scanners; 9 x1.5T, a 3T and a 0.4T, undertaking a wide range of complex and non complex diagnostic examinations including cardiac MRI. The post holder will join our large and friendly team, and quickly become an integral part of our service. We operate 7 days a week, 12 hours a day, with an on call service at Royal Derby Hospital. You will have a BSc degree in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent and have current registration with the Health and Professions Council (HCPC). Main duties of the job

- To provide a high quality and efficient MRI service for the Trust .
- To work as part of a professional radiography team providing an excellent diagnostic service.
- We expect the post holder to already possess excellent MRI and patient care skills.
- Practice safely using the MHRA guidelines and department safety policies as guidelines
- To participate in the departmental Quality Assurance Program, risk management and risk assessments.
- To identify and actively promote best practice.
- To provide staff and student training, to include CPD presentations as part of the radiographerseducation programme and to external bodies.
- The successful candidate will be expected to work across all UHDB sites depending on service needs.
