What You'll Do

As Associate Assistant Principal (Mathematics), You Will

• Provide strategic leadership for Mathematics across the academy.
• Lead the development and implementation of an ambitious and challenging Mathematics curriculum.
• Drive improvements in teaching, learning and assessment within the department.
• Foster confidence, resilience and a growth mindset in all learners.
• Champion high expectations and ensure excellent outcomes for all students.
• Use data intelligently to monitor performance and drive sustained improvement.
• Lead, coach and develop colleagues, building leadership capacity within the department.
• Support wider academy improvement priorities and contribute to whole-school strategic initiatives.
• Work closely with senior leaders to raise standards and enhance the educational experience of all students.
• Promote an inclusive culture where every young person can achieve their full potential.
• Contribute to the strategic leadership and continuous improvement of the academy.

Lead Beyond Your Classroom

As a member of the academy's leadership team, you will have the opportunity to influence whole-school improvement, contribute to strategic decision-making and help shape the future direction of the academy.

You will play a key role in raising standards, developing staff, strengthening curriculum provision and ensuring that every student receives an exceptional education.

Who We're Looking For

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Mathematics or a related subject.
• Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for mathematics education.
• A proven track record of successful teaching and leadership within Mathematics.
• Experience of improving student outcomes and raising standards.
• Strong understanding of curriculum design, assessment and teaching and learning.
• Experience of coaching, mentoring and developing colleagues.
• Ability to analyse and use performance data to drive improvement.
• Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.
• Commitment to inclusion, high expectations and student achievement.
• Commitment to the Oasis ethos and values.

Desired Experience

• Experience of contributing to whole-school improvement strategies.
• Experience of leading curriculum innovation and departmental improvement.
• Experience of line managing and developing staff.
• Experience of implementing change and securing sustained improvements.
• Experience of leading on numeracy or cross-curricular mathematical development.
