Government Affairs Director

Cytiva, a Danaher platform, seeks a Government Affairs Director to identify and assess emerging policy developments in sustainability, chemicals, and product regulation that affect the business. The role involves coordinating cross-functional responses to regulatory changes, developing advocacy strategies, and maintaining stakeholder relationships across multiple regions.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess emerging sustainability, chemicals, and product-related policy developments with business implications
• Serve as subject matter expert providing policy analysis and strategic recommendations to senior leadership
• Establish and coordinate cross-functional teams to evaluate and respond to regulatory developments
• Develop and support advocacy strategies on priority issues working with trade associations and government affairs partners
• Build relationships with external stakeholders including regulators, policymakers, and industry associations

Requirements

• Long-standing experience in life sciences government affairs, public policy, or regulatory affairs
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
• Experience leading cross-functional projects involving legal, regulatory, sustainability, and commercial teams
• Experience representing organizations through trade associations and regulatory engagement
• Multi-region policy experience including Europe, North America, and Asia-Pacific
• Experience supporting organizational responses to major regulatory or legislative changes
