Role: Logistics Operative – Reach Driver

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Mon to Fri 0900-1730, 1 in 4 Saturdays

Purpose Of the Role:

To support the efficient day-to-day operation of warehouse activities, ensuring the safe handling, storage, and movement of goods while maintaining high standards of accuracy, productivity, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the safe loading and unloading of vehicles
• Accurately checking and verifying all load documentation
• Labelling goods and transporting them to designated storage areas
• Working collaboratively with team members to support daily operations
• Maintaining high housekeeping standards and ensuring MHE (Material Handling Equipment) is kept clean and serviceable
• Carrying out handballing and de-topping of goods as required
• Using scanning systems to accurately record and track pallet movements

The ideal candidate will have

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong planning and organisational abilities
• Effective problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail with a strong level of accuracy
• Proficient IT skills
• Committed to delivering a high standard of customer service
• Strong time management skills
• Adaptable and able to respond positively to change
• Confident and approachable manner
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience operating a reach truck (D2 licence)
