The Role

• Teaching Design & Technology across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 depending on experience

• Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons across a range of material specialisms

• Supporting practical workshop lessons with a strict focus on health, safety, and machinery protocols

• Assessing pupil progress and providing clear, constructive feedback on design portfolios and practical outcomes

• Contributing to curriculum planning and departmental development

• Working collaboratively within a supportive Design & Technology team

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• A degree in a Design & Technology-related subject

• Experience teaching DT at KS3 and KS4

• Strong subject knowledge, CAD/CAM proficiency, and confident workshop practice

• High expectations for pupil engagement, behaviour, and progress

• A professional, organised, and positive teaching approach
