Location: Buckinghamshire (across 3 sites)
Rate: £550 to £650 day inside IR35, dependent on experience
Contract: 6 Months +
Start Date: ASAP
An exciting opportunity has opened up for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join a major contractor delivering works on one of the UK's largest infrastructure projects.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established project team, providing Health & Safety leadership across three live sites. Reporting into the Lead H&S Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring works are delivered safely, compliantly and in line with company and client expectations.
Responsibilities:
·Provide Health & Safety support across three live project sites.
·Carry out regular site inspections, audits and workplace observations.
·Promote a proactive safety culture through engagement with site teams and subcontractors.
·Review RAMS, safe systems of work and construction activities to ensure compliance.
·Support incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
·Monitor compliance with company procedures, client requirements and UK Health & Safety legislation.
Essential Experience
·Previous experience working as a Health & Safety Manager or Senior Health & Safety Advisor on major infrastructure or construction projects.
·Major project experience within rail, highways, energy, water or other large infrastructure sectors.
·Strong understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation and CDM Regulations.
·Experience working on large-scale civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
·Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
·Experience carrying out inspections, audits, investigations and driving continual improvement.
·NEBOSH Construction Certificate, NEBOSH Diploma or a Health & Safety Degree is preferred, although equivalent experience will also be considered.
Desirable Experience
·Experience working for a Tier 1 contractor.
·Chartered or working towards Chartered status.
