Then join us and we can be exceptional together., We are looking for an Assistant Engineer to join our Glasgow bridge team. Working on a wide range of bridge and structure projects you will collaborate on some of the most prestigious infrastructure programmes in the UK. • Produce engineering designs, assessments and evaluations in accordance with project requirements.
• Prepare calculations, write reports, and check drawings.
• Check design calculations and drawings performed by other engineers.
• Perform a wide variety of engineering activities, including collating and analysing data, developing calculation methods, and working with colleagues to deliver consistently high-quality project work.
• Contribute to the dissemination of good engineering practice and implement in-house tools such as the carbon calculation tool.
• Plan and prioritise your workload with support from the project manager, reporting progress against the project budget and programme.
• Deliver your own work to a high technical standard, ensuring accuracy through diligent self-checking.
• Attend site visits and client meetings.
  Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (BEng, BSc, MEng, MSc) with a clear ambition to work towards Chartered Engineer status.
• Experience working in an engineering environment, such as an industry placement or professional role.
• Familiarity with UK standards or equivalent European/Euro Codes.
• Understanding of CDM Regulations, specifically designers' requirements.
• Deep understanding and interest in engineering and a personal commitment to technical excellence.
• Ability and willingness to work in a diverse and multidisciplinary team.
• Good communication skills and teamwork ability.
