A prestigious international UHNW family is seeking an outstanding British ROTA Governess to support the education, development and wider enrichment of their two daughters, aged 6 and 8.

This is a high-level appointment for an exceptionally energetic, educated and engaging Governess who can combine academic excellence with creativity, excellent manners, emotional intelligence and genuine warmth.

Working one month on / one month off, the Governess will be fully engaged during her rotation. The family divides its time between Oxford and Seattle and travels extensively worldwide, requiring someone highly flexible, adaptable and enthusiastic about an international lifestyle.
This is strictly a Governess role within a fully staffed household. There is no cooking, housekeeping, laundry or other domestic work.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee homework and reinforce school learning
Support academic progress across core subjects
Create stimulating educational experiences beyond the classroom
Encourage reading, creativity, curiosity and independent thinking
Teach excellent manners, etiquette and social skills
Promote confidence, independence and emotional development
Plan educational, cultural, sporting and recreational activities
Accompany the family on extensive international travel
Organise enriching activities and learning opportunities while abroad
Maintain appropriate routines, structure and boundaries
Ensure excellent communication and handovers with the rotational Governess
Work professionally alongside parents and the wider household team

Candidate Profile
We are seeking a standout career Governess who is intelligent, polished and highly capable while also being energetic, fun and naturally engaging with children.

The ideal candidate will be:
British / native English-speaking with impeccable spoken and written English
Degree-educated with an excellent academic background
PGCE/QTS or equivalent teaching qualification highly desirable
Confident supporting the British curriculum and primary-level subjects
Experienced with children of a similar age
Energetic, active, creative and intellectually curious
Warm, emotionally intelligent and an inspiring role model
Highly organised, proactive and able to work independently
Flexible and comfortable with extensive worldwide travel
Discreet, polished and highly professional
Previous UHNW/VIP, ROTA or international household experience strongly preferred
Able to provide excellent professional references
Enhanced DBS checked or eligible to obtain an equivalent check

Package
1 month on / 1 month off with an exceptional salary package commensurate with experience and qualifications. Separate accommodation is provided whilst on duty, and all work-related international travel expenses are covered by the family.
