Adult Social Worker - Learning Disabilities & Autism Team
About the role:
We are looking to recruit a Qualified Social Worker for a Learning Disabilities & Autism Team in Shropshire. As a Qualified Social Worker, you will manage a caseload of adults, delivering strengths-based assessments, support planning, safeguarding interventions, and reviews to promote independence, wellbeing, and positive outcomes. Emphasis will be on Care Act reviews. Key Responsibilities;

About the role:
We are looking to recruit a Qualified Social Worker for a Learning Disabilities & Autism Team in Shropshire. As a Qualified Social Worker, you will manage a caseload of adults, delivering strengths-based assessments, support planning, safeguarding interventions, and reviews to promote independence, wellbeing, and positive outcomes. Emphasis will be on Care Act reviews. Key Responsibilities;
- Manage a professional caseload, completing assessments, support plans, reviews, and risk assessments.
- Apply strengths-based and asset-based approaches to support individuals and families.
- Promote safeguarding and undertake investigations where required.
- Work collaboratively with statutory, voluntary, and community partners to achieve agreed outcomes.
- Attend and contribute to peer reviews, reflective practice sessions, and team discussions.
- Maintain accurate case records, reports, and documentation.
- Provide professional advice and guidance to colleagues and support less experienced staff and students.
- Undertake duty responsibilities as part of the team rota.
- Promote equality, dignity, choice, and person-centred practice.
- A degree in Social Work or equivalent
- Registered with Social Work England
- At least 2 years PQE direct employment within English Local Authorities
- Completed relevant post-qualifying training
- Enhanced DBS check
- Excellent communication and written skills
