We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic F3 Clinical Fellow to join our Palliative Care team. Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm This is an excellent opportunity for a doctor with a strong interest in Palliative Medicine, Oncology, or Care of the Elderly to gain valuable experience in a supportive multidisciplinary environment. The post holders are expected to participate in all aspects of the patient pathway as appropriate and will be expected to perform delegated duties with a high degree of clinical skill and knowledge. They will be trained to assess and examine patients present them, initiate and interpret investigations, and recommend treatment. They will be expected to liaise with other professionals and specialities as required and complete necessary documentation relating to their patients The F3 will be supervised by a designated consultant and will also have individual mentors to oversee their career development. The F3 will liaise closely with the senior nursing team within the trust. It is expected that the Physician Associate will become involved in all of the activities of both AMU and SDEC including review of inpatients and assessment of admissions and will carry out practical procedures within the pathway.
