About the Opportunity
We are currently recruiting experienced Practice Nurses to support a range of GP surgeries and Primary Care services across Liverpool, Warrington, Chester, Southport and the wider North West.

This is an excellent opportunity for Practice Nurses seeking flexible locum work, additional clinical sessions or ongoing rota opportunities within supportive and well-established Primary Care environments.

Key Responsibilities
As a Locum Practice Nurse, you will deliver a range of primary care nursing services, including:

* Chronic disease management and long-term condition reviews.
* NHS Health Checks and preventative healthcare.
* Treatment room duties, including wound care and dressings.
* Cervical cytology screening.
* Childhood and travel immunisations.
* Venepuncture, ECGs and routine clinical observations (where required).
* Patient education and health promotion.
* Accurate clinical documentation using EMIS or other GP clinical systems.

Requirements

* Current NMC registration.
* Previous experience working within a GP Practice or Primary Care setting (essential).
* Experience managing long-term conditions and nurse-led clinics.
* Immunisation experience, including childhood vaccinations.
* Strong communication and patient engagement skills.
* Ability to work autonomously within General Practice environments.
* Experience using EMIS or SystmOne is advantageous.

Desirable Skills

* Independent Prescribing (V300) qualification (advantageous but not essential).
* Experience managing patients with asthma, COPD or diabetes.
* Additional Primary Care nursing competencies, including cervical cytology.
