Director of Psychology

£6.26k per annum
Full-time

Riddlesdown Collegiate is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Director of Psychology to join our team.

Riddlesdown Collegiate is a fantastic place to work and learn. We are part of The Collegiate Trust whose vision of an exceptional education for all accurately describes the ambitions we hold for our students. They are bright, well-motivated and a pleasure to work with, whilst our staff are talented, hard-working and ambitious for themselves and others.

What does the role involve?

As the Director of Psychology, you will be responsible for the development of teaching and learning and the standards achieved in Psychology across the Collegiate. This will require effective professional leadership of a team of staff to ensure that all students enjoy a rich learning experience and make or exceed expected progress.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking to appoint Director of Psychology who will bring an energetic and ambitious approach to this area of our work and support the development of the Collegiate. The person specification identifies the experience, skills and attributes we are seeking, but in short we are looking for: an outstanding classroom practitioner with the ability to develop teaching and learning within the Psychology Department and across the Collegiate, a confident role model with the ability to motivate and influence, an individual with strategic and emotional intelligence and an ambitious leader.

This is an exciting and very fulfilling post, providing excellent preparation for further promotion and, naturally, there will be high quality support and opportunities for further professional learning and development in the role.

Riddlesdown Collegiate

Riddlesdown Collegiate is an outstanding (Ofsted, March 2023) school at the heart of our community. We are a unique school with a ‘small schools’ model, meaning we are able to reap the benefits our scale brings, through investing in our people and resources, but students describe our ‘small schools’ Collegiate system as making them feel part of a ‘family.’ We are a warm, friendly, and ambitious school which aims to develop students’ character, nurturing their talents, as well as striving to reach the highest academic standards. Creating the right environment for teachers to thrive is at the very heart of our strategy and we invite you to explore our school and this role further.

The Collegiate Trust

The Collegiate Trust is a family of 9 schools, primary and secondary, located in the Croydon and Crawley areas, educating children and young people from 3-19 years of age with a clear vision to deliver exceptional education for all.

The Central Team is mainly based at Riddlesdown Collegiate, a large, outstanding (OFSTED, March 2023) secondary school in Croydon with a longstanding reputation for high standards and an exceptional education.

Benefits of Working with The Collegiate Trust

We care about our staff's health and wellbeing and offer an number of benefits that can be found in more on our website at Benefits of Working with TCT | The Collegiate Trust . We continually strive to improve our employee experience, ensuring staff wellbeing is at the forefront of our decision making. We offer generous holiday and salary opportunities, and are dedicated to ensuring professional development opportunities for all our staff.

How to Apply
