About the Role
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and high-quality Humanities lessons, which may include History, Geography, and Social Studies. You will inspire pupils to develop curiosity about the world, a strong understanding of people and places, and a deep appreciation of history, culture, and global issues, in line with the National Curriculum for England.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging Humanities lessons that meet the needs of all learners
Develop pupils’ understanding of history, geography, and global citizenship
Encourage critical thinking, enquiry, and analytical skills
Use assessment data effectively to monitor and support pupil progress
Maintain high expectations for behaviour, effort, and achievement
Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities
Promote cross-curricular links and real-world learning experiences
Work collaboratively within a professional and supportive team
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A degree in History, Geography, Humanities, or a related subject
Experience teaching within a British curriculum school (preferred)
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Humanities education
Excellent communication and classroom management skills
A commitment to inclusive practice and safeguarding
The ability to inspire curiosity, debate, and independent thinking
