We are seeking an experienced School Administrator to join a busy and welcoming mainstream secondary school in Reading.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day administration of the school, providing an efficient and professional service to students, staff, parents, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing reception and front-of-house duties
- Handling incoming calls, emails, and visitor enquiries
- Maintaining accurate student and staff records
- Producing letters, reports, and general correspondence
- Supporting attendance, admissions, and school processes
- Providing administrative support to senior leaders and teaching staff
- Ensuring confidentiality and compliance with school procedures
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a School Administrator within a UK school
- Experience within a mainstream secondary school setting
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
- Experience using SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom, or other school MIS systems
- Knowledge of attendance and safeguarding procedures
