We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an on-site General Handy Person in HMP Lincoln.
The standard hours of work are 39 hours per week (across 7 days as a weekend shift pattern is in place). There is a need to work 1 in 3 weekends, but this would be on a rota basis (and with an additional allowance of 15% of basic salary). The salary is £27,426. At Amey, we’re supporting our justice client, His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) by providing them with safe, clean and efficient prisons. By using our facilities management expertise, we help keep 60 secure premises across England and Wales running smoothly. The General Handy Person plays an important part in ensuring the planned and reactive maintenance work within the prisons is carried out in a safe, compliant and timely manner. What you will do: Collaborating with a dynamic team to perform general maintenance tasks and assist tradespeople on site.Taking on various FM duties as directed by the team manager.
Maintaining high health and safety standards across the contract.
Contributing to local and business zero carbon initiatives, strategically working towards sustainability goals. What you will bring: Solid experience in DIY/ general building maintenance.
CITB relevant certification or equivalent.
Willingness to learn new skills.
