Senior Account Director

Play a leading role in developing a commercial insurance brokerage's presence in Bristol, building client relationships, generating new business and helping establish a successful operation across the South West.

This is an opportunity to join an established insurance broker as it develops a new regional presence. The business is open to experienced Senior Account Executives with established books of business, as well as Account Directors who can bring the commercial experience and leadership needed to help shape the operation from an early stage. The role offers hybrid working, with two to three days per week in Bristol.

The opportunity

* Take a leading role in developing the broker's presence in Bristol and the wider South West, building relationships with commercial clients and creating new business opportunities.
* Manage and develop your own portfolio of commercial insurance clients, focusing on long-term relationships, retention and profitable growth.
* Join the business at an early stage in its regional development, giving you the opportunity to influence how the operation grows and establishes itself in the market.
* Work with an established brokerage while contributing to the development of a new office, combining the opportunity to build something with the backing of a wider business.
* For experienced Account Directors, there is the opportunity to bring your knowledge of the regional market, commercial strategy and leadership to help guide the development of the operation.
* For Senior Account Executives, this offers the chance to build on an established book of business and become an important part of a growing regional presence.

Who would suit it?

* You'll be an experienced Commercial Insurance Account Executive or Account Director with a strong understanding of the commercial insurance market.
* You'll have an established book of business, a track record of developing and retaining commercial clients, or the senior-level experience to help shape a developing brokerage operation.
* You'll have strong relationships within the regional business community and understand how to generate opportunities through your own network.
* You'll be commercially minded, confident dealing with business owners and senior decision-makers, and comfortable managing more substantial commercial insurance relationships.
* You'll enjoy having a genuine influence over business development and contributing to the longer-term direction of a growing operation.
* Previous experience leading teams, developing regional business or helping establish a new office would be particularly attractive for the Account Director opportunity.

The package

* Basic salary potentially exceeding £100,000 for the right individual, depending on experience, existing book and the responsibilities of the position.
* Hybrid working, with two to three days per week in Bristol.
