Senior Associate Property Solicitor - Path to Head of Dept, Specialist

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Property Solicitor to join a well established and growing team in North West London, with a clear opportunity to progress into a Head of Department role within 12–18 months .

The firm is looking for an experienced property lawyer to sit between the existing Partner and more junior members of the team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the continued development of the department, providing guidance and supervision to junior lawyers whilst taking responsibility for a varied caseload of their own.

The Role
The role will initially involve a mix of residential and commercial property work , with the firm particularly keen to grow and develop its commercial property offering.
You will work closely with the Partner and the wider team, providing the experience and support needed to bridge the gap between the Partner and more junior fee earners. This will allow the Partner to increasingly focus on business development and the strategic growth of the department.

There is a genuine opportunity for the successful candidate to step into a Head of Department position within 12–18 months , taking a greater leadership role within the team and helping shape the future direction of the practice.

The Team
You will join a supportive Property team currently comprising:

• An experienced Partner
• Three members of support staff, including a highly experienced member of the team
• A trainee
• Junior fee earners

The successful candidate will therefore have the opportunity to become a key senior figure within an established team, with plenty of scope to influence how the department develops.

This would suit an experienced Property Solicitor who is ready for the next step and wants more than simply a larger caseload.

The firm is looking for someone who can take ownership, support and develop junior colleagues, build their own profile within the department and ultimately take on responsibility for leading the team.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Property Solicitor with a strong grounding across residential and/or commercial property and the confidence to take on a more senior position within a growing team.
Commercial property experience would be particularly attractive, given the firm's ambitions to expand this side of the practice.

You will be someone who enjoys working collaboratively, is comfortable supporting more junior colleagues and is keen to take the next step towards departmental leadership.
