• Wednesday: 8.30am-7.00pm
• Thursday: 8.30am-7.30pm
• Friday: 7.45am-5.45pm

Driver: Essential - own car required

Overview

A warm and welcoming family based in the beautiful village of Ripley is looking for an experienced, caring and organised Nanny - Housekeeper to join their family home.

This is a varied role supporting one bright and engaging 11-year-old girl while helping the household run smoothly from day to day. The family lives in a charming five-bedroom Grade II listed home and is looking for someone who enjoys balancing childcare, pet care and housekeeping within a relaxed family environment.

The balance of the role changes throughout the year. During the school holidays, the role is approximately 80% childcare and 20% housekeeping. During term time, it is approximately 40% childcare and 60% housekeeping.

The family's daughter is always the priority when she is at home. She is bright, thoughtful and full of personality, with a love of dancing, music, nature and the environment. The family is looking for someone who will take a genuine interest in her life, enjoy talking and listening to her, and build a warm and trusting relationship.

Alongside childcare, the successful candidate will help care for the family's two cats and dog and support the smooth running of the household through general housekeeping, laundry, organisation and preparing the family evening meal once or twice each week.

This role would suit someone sensible, calm and dependable who enjoys working with both children and animals. For the right candidate, the family would also consider a predominantly nanny position, with additional household support arranged separately if preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Childcare

• Supporting the morning routine
• School drop-offs and collections
• Driving to activities, including dance
• Preparing the child's meals and snacks
• Supporting with homework, dance practice and after-school routines
• Organising activities, outings and playdates during the school holidays
• Encouraging the child's interests in dance, music, nature and the environment
• Supporting the evening routine, including bath time where required

Housekeeping

• General housekeeping and keeping the home clean, tidy and organised
• Household laundry and ironing
• Preparing the family evening meal once or twice each week
• Running household errands
• Coordinating tradespeople, deliveries and household appointments where required

Pet Care

• Caring for the family's two cats and dog
• Dog walking and feeding the pets
• Supporting the dog's ongoing training and routine
• Assisting with veterinary appointments where required

Requirements

• Previous private household experience essential
• Strong childcare experience
• Warm, calm, reliable and organised
• Able to balance childcare and housekeeping responsibilities
• Genuinely interested in children and able to build a trusting relationship
• Comfortable and confident caring for cats and dogs
• Driver with own car essential
• Excellent references
• Right to work in the UK
