Our client, the world’s leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment are seeking HG3 Fabricator/Welders to join their growing team, based in Larne

Responsibilities

• Weld, fabricate, and tack components and sub-assemblies of generator sets.
• Operate manual and automatic MIG welding machines.
• Repair and rework production parts.
• Compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Interprets prints, plan methods and sequence of work.
• Compliance with 5S programme and other business improvement initiatives.
• Uphold Caterpillar’s Values in Action.
• Any other appropriate duties.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• NVQ Level 2 in Fabrication/Welding or minimum 12 months experience.
• Able to understand and follow detailed verbal instructions.
• Ability to conduct the physical aspects of the position, including tasks performed at height.
• Ability to work reasonable amounts of overtime and various shift patterns.

Desirable Skills

• Experience in lean manufacturing.
• Ability to use slinging equipment and cranes to move materials.
• Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures and squares to ensure work accuracy and compliance with specifications.
• Attention to detail to meet quality standards.
• Ability to prioritise and organise sequence of work.

Further Information

Pay Rate: Day Shift: £14.27 per hour. Night Shift: £19.03 per hour. Overtime (First 10 hours): £21.41 per hour. Overtime (After 10 hours overtime) - £28.54 per hour. Working Hours: Monday 7.30am - 5.45pm, Tuesday to Thursday 7.30am - 5.15pm If required - Nightshift 37.5 hrs per week Monday 9.00pm - 7.15am, Tuesday to Thursday 9.00pm - 6.45am Benefits: Uniform and PPE provided.
