Core Cutter

Overview

A Global FMCG Manufacturer is looking to appoint a Core Cutter within their busy Gainsborough based site.

To ensure the smooth flow of product from supplier, through to customer with the emphasis on safety, accuracy, quality and timing. This role will also require you to cover conversions machines during breaks and in instances of absence.

Key Responsibilities

• The cutting and service of all cardboard cores to the conversion line following the live schedule.
• Working two to three days in front of the live schedule ensuring that all machines have cores for each job produced.
• Maintain, control stock and ordering of all cores required through a Kanban system, this will also include regular stock tacking.
• Managing the storage, Work Place Organisation and cleanliness of all bin’s, bin storage locations, machine and working areas.
• Ensuring that Operators can locate the cores with ease, this will be through a colour coded system.
• Managing waste of all cores and off cuts, measuring waste and cost of waste to an agreed target.
• Ensuring that the core cutting machine is maintained and kept to a clean and high standard.
• To cover conversion machines as and when required. This may include breaks, sickness cover or to assist with packing duties.
• To adhere to the companies health and safety and hygiene policies.
