Year 5 Teacher - Outstanding School - Richmond - January...
This is a high-profile appointment: an Outstanding Richmond primary is recruiting a committed Year 5 Teacher to join its upper KS2 phase on a Full-Time basis, beginning January 2026 . The Year 5 Teacher will play a pivotal part in preparing pupils for Year 6, promoting resilience, deep thinking and readiness for transition. The Year 5 Teacher will be part of an expert team where teachers collaborate on curriculum design and pedagogical research.
What the Year 5 Teacher will do: deliver ambitious, well-sequenced lessons across Year 5; use assessment to inform precise interventions; lead enrichment projects that deepen mathematical reasoning and literary analysis. The Year 5 Teacher will also facilitate parent workshops, contribute to whole-school moderation, and help shape cross-year transition strategies. This Year 5 Teacher role starts January 2026 , with planning and induction beginning before January 2026 so the Year 5 Teacher is ready to teach from January 2026.
The ideal Year 5 Teacher demonstrates: QTS, proven KS2 success, excellent classroom presence, and an ability to inspire upper-primary learners. The Year 5 Teacher will be comfortable using data to drive progress, coaching colleagues, and crafting enquiry-led units. The school offers robust CPD for the Year 5 Teacher , leadership pathways and a collaborative research-informed approach to teaching.
