Health and Social Care Officer (nights)

Working overnight, you will help create a safe, calm, and supportive environment where individuals can rest, feel secure, and receive any support they need, while also providing families with a well-deserved break.

As a Health & Social Care Officer, you’ll play a key role in delivering compassionate, person-centred care that empowers people to live with dignity, choice, and independence.

You will support individuals with all aspects of their care throughout the night, including providing reassurance, monitoring wellbeing, and responding to any needs that arise, while consistently promoting dignity, respect, and independence. Using person-centred approaches, you will ensure that each individual’s needs and aspirations are understood and met, encouraging communication, self-expression, and informed choice in ways that are meaningful to them.

This role requires a caring, patient, and flexible approach, along with the ability to work independently and remain attentive during quieter overnight periods. You will need a genuine commitment to making a positive difference and demonstrate strong values rooted in dignity, respect, and inclusion in everything you do.

We have two posts available, each offering 22 hours per week. The role involves working waking night shifts from 9pm to 8am on a regular rota pattern, including some weekends. Enhanced pay is provided for unsocial hours.
