Chef de Partie - Pastry
Full Time – 40 Working Hours Per Week
Our hotel is home to unforgettable VIP functions, luxury dining experiences, elegant Afternoon Teas, stylish weddings and large-scale events. We are now seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Chef de Partie to join our Kitchen Brigade, reporting to the Executive Head Chef, Head Chef and Sous Chef.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled pastry professional to take ownership of the pastry section, delivering exceptional desserts, pastries, bakery products and sweet experiences across all areas of the hotel.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PASTRY CHEF DE PARTIE AT THE MUNICIPAL HOTEL & SPA MGALLERY
What you'll be doing...
- Prepare and present high-quality desserts, pastries, cakes, breads, bakery products and petits fours.
- Lead production for Afternoon Tea, Seaforth Restaurant and Palm Court Bar.
- Deliver pastry offerings for weddings, conferences, events and VIP experiences.
- Create guest amenities, celebration plates and bespoke dessert experiences.
- Assist with ordering, stock control, waste management and food safety compliance.
What We Need From You
- Previous experience as a Pastry Chef de Partie or strong Demi Chef de Partie.
- Strong pastry, bakery and dessert production skills.
- Experience creating Afternoon Tea offerings and plated desserts.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety and allergens.
- Passion for pastry, creativity and continuous improvement.
