What you’ll be doing

• Identifying and analysing security risks before they happen
• Working on digital forensics or penetration testing
• Designing new security tools and services
• Supporting live responses to cyber incidents
• Writing technical reports that drive smart decisions
• Advising teams on how to build secure systems
• Collaborating with engineers, analysts, and business partners across NESO

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for students who are:

• In your penultimate year of a degree in Cyber Security or a related subject like Computing, Information Security or Computer Science
• On track for a minimum 2:2
• Bonus if you’ve got a full UK driving licence, but it’s not essential
• Be able to get National Security Vetting clearance, including 5 years’ UK residency

You don’t need to know everything about the energy system already — just bring your enthusiasm, your fresh perspective, and your desire to learn.
