Key Stage 2 Teacher – SEN School – Islington
A progressive SEN school in Islington is looking for a committed Key Stage 2 Teacher to bring creativity, empathy, and a passion for inclusive education to their dedicated team. In this full-time, permanent role, you will support students with special educational needs, providing individualized learning experiences that empower them to build confidence, foster independence, and achieve personal milestones.
Role Highlights
- Permanent, full-time position in a nurturing SEN environment focused on inclusive, student-centered learning
- Develop and deliver tailored lessons that address the unique academic, social, and emotional needs of KS2 students, encouraging their personal and educational growth
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of SEN support staff to create personalized learning plans, ensuring each student receives the right support to thrive
- Foster a positive, structured classroom atmosphere that promotes confidence, active engagement, and resilience among students
- Monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods as needed to address individual challenges, keeping parents and staff informed and aligned on development goals
- Participate in specialized training and professional development focused on SEN strategies to continuously refine and enhance your teaching practices
Experience & Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience in KS2 teaching, with a strong preference for candidates with SEN experience
- Compassionate, adaptable approach to working with students facing a range of learning challenges, and a commitment to creating an inclusive classroom
- Strong organizational and communication skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, and SEN support staff
- A creative and flexible teaching style that enables you to engage students of varied abilities and inspire their growth
- A current, clear Enhanced DBS check to ensure the safety and well-being of all students
