We’re looking for caring, enthusiastic and resilient Teaching Assistants to support pupils across SEN specialist schools and alternative provisions in Telford and Shropshire. The schools we work with support children and young people with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, complex learning needs and behavioural needs. No previous SEN experience? No problem. You don’t need classroom experience to get started. If you’ve worked in care, youth work, sports coaching, psychology, support work, or simply have the patience, empathy and enthusiasm to help young people thrive, we’d love to hear from you. We’ll provide the training and support you need to build your confidence and develop your skills within a specialist education setting. What you’ll be doing: Supporting pupils with additional needs to feel safe, understood and ready to learnProviding one-to-one and small-group supportHelping create a calm, structured and inclusive learning environmentSupporting teachers and SEN staff with individual learning and behaviour strategiesEncouraging pupils to develop their confidence, independence and social skillsBringing positivity, patience and resilience to every school day What we’re looking for: Someone caring, reliable and enthusiastic about working with young peopleA genuine interest in SEN and specialist educationExperience in care, youth work, sports, psychology, support work or similar is beneficial, but not essentialA DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for oneThe right to work in the UK Why join Protocol Education?
