The Jobholder requires a minimum qualification to HNC/ SVQ3 level in business studies, office management or administration or an acceptable equivalent qualification and/or extensive demonstrative experience to this level in one of the identified disciplines would be an acceptable alternative. Experience: Essential: To be competent in the role the Jobholder must have good interpersonal skills and knowledge of the various systems and software including Microsoft packages. S/he must also have previous experience of working to strict deadlines, co-ordinating and taking minutes and producing complex documents. S/he must also be able to type at speed. Desirable: An understanding of the services the Council provides to the community and the relevant regulatory frameworks associated with this would also be desirable. Post 1 - Monday - Thursday 0900 - 1700, Friday 0900 - 1530Post 2 - 4 x 7.5 hour days to be discussed at interview Weeks per year: 52Please note that it is Midlothian Councils policy that successful applicants will be appointed to the first point on the salary scale. Post 1 - Based on 36 hours over 52 weeks per year, the minimum actual salary for this position is £30619.22 per annum.
