CNC Setter / Machinist - Motorsport & Automotive Engineering

£40,000 - £50,000 + Excellent Long-Term Opportunity The client specialise in the design, development and manufacture of high-performance prototype and small batch transmission systems for the worldwide Motorsport and Automotive industry. We are a highly skilled, close-knit engineering business with fewer than 10 employees, investing heavily in cutting-edge machinery and technology to remain at the forefront of engineering development. The Role You will be involved in the manufacture of complex precision components used within high-end Motorsport and Automotive transmission systems. Working within a modern machining environment, you will be responsible for producing high-quality parts to exacting tolerances. Responsibilities * Setting and operating a range of CNC machinery
* Manufacturing precision components to tight tolerances
* Working with both 3 Axis and 5 Axis machine tools
* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
* Carrying out quality checks and inspections
* Supporting prototype and small batch production work
* Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and workmanship Skills & Experience Required * Previous experience within CNC machining and precision engineering
* Experience setting and operating CNC machine tools
* Exposure to 3 Axis and/or 5 Axis machining
* Experience with Fanuc and/or Siemens controls
* A strong attention to detail and quality
* A positive attitude and willingness to learn Desirable Experience * CNC Programming experience
* Gear cutting experience
* Experience within Motorsport, Aerospace or Automotive sectors What We Offer * Salary between £40,000 - £50,000
