Design & Technology ECT - Creative Secondary School in...
Our client is seeking a motivated and creative Design & Technology ECT to join an Outstanding-rated secondary school in Gloucester from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for an Early Career Teacher looking to begin their career in a school that genuinely values creativity, practical learning, and high-quality support for new teachers.

The Role
Teaching Design & Technology across KS3 and KS4
Planning and delivering engaging practical and theory-based lessons
Supporting pupils with design projects and coursework
Promoting safe working practices and high standards in workshops
Developing confidence in classroom management and curriculum delivery
Working closely with experienced DT teachers and technicians
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or be on track to qualify as an ECT
A degree in Design & Technology or a related subject
The ability to teach DT across KS3 and KS4
A creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning
Willingness to learn, reflect, and develop with support
Good organisational skills and a positive, professional attitude
