The Best Connection Tamworth are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 1 (C+E) Driver to join our client for ongoing ad hoc work.
This is an excellent opportunity for a professional HGV Driver looking for flexible work with straightforward nationwide deliveries and no handballing.
Job Role
As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for completing nationwide deliveries, ensuring goods are transported safely and efficiently while providing a professional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Completing nationwide Class 1 deliveries
- 3-4 drops per shift
- No handballing - the only manual work involved is opening and closing the trailer curtains
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks
- Completing all relevant transport paperwork accurately
- Ensuring compliance with Driver's Hours and Working Time Regulations
- Delivering excellent customer service at delivery locations
Requirements
- Minimum 6 month's commercial Class 1 (C+E) driving experience
- Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Good understanding of Driver's Hours legislation
- Reliable, professional, and safety-conscious
