Residential Support Worker - Futures for Families
£27.25k - £30.02k per annumWe have an exciting role on offer within our Residential Services as a Residential Support Worker - Futures for Families.
You will be part of a loving child centred home. We are seeking caring, compassionate, and dedicated Residential Support Worker to join our experienced and supportive team. You will be working with children aged 4–11 years and/or sibling groups, supporting them during an important stage of their journey.
Our home provides medium-term placements, offering children a safe, stable, and nurturing environment while comprehensive assessments are undertaken to inform their future care and long-term plans. We recognise that every child is unique, and we take great care to understand their individual needs, experiences, and potential. We are extremely proud of the home we have created.
It is a warm, welcoming, and engaging environment where children feel safe, secure, and genuinely cared for. Daily life is centred around positive relationships, shared experiences, and a sense of fun. We believe every child deserves to enjoy the simple pleasures of childhood whether that’s swimming, bike riding, relaxing at home, or enjoying exciting trips out such as visits to theme parks helping them build happy memories and a sense of belonging. As a team, we are particularly proud of our commitment to keeping siblings together wherever possible. We understand that periods of transition can be especially difficult for children, and maintaining these vital relationships provides comfort, continuity, and emotional security during uncertain times.
The role involves a shift pattern, including evenings, weekends, sleep-ins, and unsocial hours. In return, we offer an excellent local authority benefits package. As part of our team, you will be providing care, guidance, and advocacy for the children in our care. You will place children at the centre of everything you do, creating a safe, calm, and nurturing environment where they can thrive. Building trusting and supportive relationships will be essential, ensuring that each child feels valued, understood, and respected.
Our team takes pride in the role of being a corporate parent and works collaboratively to ensure every child feels supported, included, and important. We celebrate achievements, provide reassurance during challenges, and are committed to helping children build brighter futures. We are looking for individuals who are naturally warm, patient, and empathetic, with a genuine passion for supporting and nurturing children.
You will be resilient and able to provide consistent, high-quality care, even in challenging situations. A strong belief that every child deserves to feel safe, valued, and heard is essential. Successful candidates will be team players who are committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people. You should have some experience of working with children, an understanding of child development and behaviours that may present as challenging, and a positive, proactive attitude.
If you are looking to join a home filled with care, purpose, and positivity where children are truly at the heart of everything, we do we would welcome your application.
Applicants should hold a recognised QCF Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or an equivalent qualification) or be willing to undertake this qualification.

This role requires a willingness to work unsocial hours, including weekends, bank holidays, sleeping in duties and occasional nights.
