What you will be doing day-to-day

• Represent banks, lenders, mortgage servicers, and other financial institutions in a broad range of complex commercial, consumer finance, lender liability, and securities litigation matters in state and federal courts.
• Manage cases through all phases of the litigation lifecycle, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, court appearances, and trial preparation.
• Advise clients on litigation-related regulatory issues and assist with parallel investigations and enforcement matters involving financial services regulators.
• Work directly with experienced partners on sophisticated, high-value disputes for major financial institution clients, gaining significant client exposure and responsibility.
• Conduct legal research, draft strategic filings, and develop effective litigation strategies to achieve favourable outcomes for clients.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing practical legal advice and responsive client service throughout the course of matters.
• Collaborate with attorneys, industry experts, and consulting professionals on complex and fast-moving financial services disputes.

About you You will have:

• 4-8 years' experience in bank-side financial services litigation, representing banks, lenders, mortgage servicers, or other financial institutions.
• Proven experience managing all phases of litigation, including depositions, motion practice, discovery, court appearances, and case strategy.
• JD from an accredited law school with a strong academic record.
• Active New Jersey Bar admission or eligibility to waive into New Jersey.
• Stable career history with demonstrated commitment and progression in private practice.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and client relationship skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and work directly with sophisticated financial institution clients.
• Willingness to work a hybrid schedule of at least three days per week in the Madison, NJ office.
• Desire to build a long-term career within a growing financial services litigation practice.
