Quality Assurance Manager
- Location: Airdrie, Scotland
- Department: Technical
- Reporting to: Site Technical Manager
- Backshift- Monday-Thursday + Sunday 9am-5pm (every third Saturday)
- Lead, coach and develop the Quality Assurance team.
- Support and manage customer audits, BRCGS, Red Tractor and other external audits.
- Ensure compliance with customer codes of practice, food safety standards and quality management systems.
- Maintain the highest standards of GMP across the site and support GMP audit programmes.
- Investigate quality incidents and non-conformances, implementing effective corrective and preventative actions.
- Manage site pest control programmes and related compliance activities.
- Monitor product quality throughout intake, production and dispatch.
- Analyse quality KPI data and implement improvement initiatives.
- Support HACCP and compliance meetings.
- Work closely with production and operations teams to ensure products consistently meet customer specifications.
- Manage quality documentation, procedures, risk assessments and customer requirements.
- Ensure all testing schedules and sampling programmes are completed and actioned appropriately.
- Experience within a food manufacturing environment.
- Strong background in quality assurance, quality control and food safety.
- HACCP qualification and practical application experience.
- Audit experience with BRCGS and customer standards.
- Previous people management experience.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365.
- Experience implementing and maintaining food safety and quality management systems.
