About us
Our team provides a Physiotherapy service to the community of Helensburgh and Lomond. We are an Integrated Community Assessment Team (iCAT) based in the VICC in Helensburgh and work primarily with the adult population.
Peer support is provided by our experienced wider Physiotherapy team with a broad range of specialisms and areas of special interest and CPD is fully supported.
About the role
This post provides an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and confident Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our iCAT team in a key operational role. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team that includes Occupational Therapists, Assistant Practitioners, Healthcare Support Workers, Nursing staff and Social Work colleagues, delivering care across Community, Re-ablement, and Hospital Admission Prevention and Discharge pathways.
You will bring a broad and adaptable clinical skill set suitable for a fully integrated community-based physiotherapy service, and you will manage a complex and varied caseload within the community setting. The role includes responsibility for the day‑to‑day supervision, guidance and support of physiotherapy colleagues, including peers and junior staff. You will also be expected to support the iCAT Team Lead and deputise when required.
In addition, you will work closely with a wide range of statutory and third‑sector partners to ensure coordinated, person‑centred care and safe, effective service delivery.
About you
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and confident Physiotherapist with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will demonstrate strong self‑awareness and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. You should be conscientious, calm under pressure, and able to adapt to change or unpredictable circumstances.
You must also meet the following essential criteria:
- Degree qualification or Graduate Diploma in Physiotherapy.
- Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Minimum of 4 years post‑registration experience, including at least 2 years of specialist experience relevant to the post.
- Evidence of postgraduate education in a relevant clinical field, including attendance at recognised postgraduate courses (e.g., Bobath/Normal Movement).
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car.
