Job Description

Are you interested in laboratory leadership? This could be your opportunity to excel as a Senior Technician, playing a vital role in supporting SOCOTEC’s continued success.

We are seeking a proactive, reliable, and flexible Senior Technician to join our Environmental Chemistry team. In this role, you’ll need the confidence to lead by example in a production-driven laboratory. A strong understanding of UKAS quality systems and Organic extraction procedures is essential to thrive in this position.

The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):
• Extraction of samples and completing benchwork
• Supporting team leadership and prioritising workloads, including training other members of the team
• Maintaining laboratory quality, safety and compliance standards

Qualifications

To be a successful Senior Technician, you should be able to demonstrate:
• Experience working at a high-level in an organic extraction laboratory environment
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills
• Knowledge of UKAS (ISO17025) requirements
