Residential Support Worker – Children's Residential Care Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people?
We're looking for compassionate, resilient, and motivated Residential Support Workers to join an established and growing children's residential care provider supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism, and Learning Disabilities.

The Role As a Residential Support Worker, you'll provide high-quality care and support to children and young people living in a residential home.
You'll help create a safe, nurturing, and stable environment while supporting children with daily routines, education, activities, emotional wellbeing, and independent living skills.
This is a varied role involving both day and night shifts, where you'll become a trusted adult and positive role model for the young people in your care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, child-centred care and emotional support.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people.
• Support education, appointments, activities, and daily routines.
• Promote independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.
• Maintain accurate daily records and reports.
• Support safeguarding, behaviour management, and risk reduction.
• Carry out household duties to help maintain a safe, welcoming home environment.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals.
• Participate in sleep-ins and shift work, including evenings, weekends, and nights where required.

Essential Requirements

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Passion for supporting children and young people.
• Resilient, empathetic, and reliable.
• Full UK Driving Licence held for at least 12 months.
• Minimum age of 22 years due to legislative requirements.
• Ability to work a flexible rota, including days, nights, weekends, and sleep-ins.
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
• Previous experience working with children or young people.
• Experience supporting individuals with EBD, SEMH, Autism, or Learning Disabilities.
