We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Qualified Primary Teacher (QTS) to join our partner Primary School based in Stevenage for a long-term placement starting in September 2026. This vibrant school supports pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, offering a dynamic, inclusive environment where every child is encouraged to thrive. We are looking for an educational leader who brings fresh ideas, designs differentiated learning pathways, and creates a classroom culture where every pupil can achieve their full potential.

Your Responsibilities

• Bespoke Curriculum Design: Plan, adapt, and deliver high-impact lessons tailored to the specific learning paces and diverse needs of your class, aligning strictly with the Primary National Curriculum framework.
• Classroom Engagement: Seamlessly incorporate interactive teaching strategies, modern phonics schemes, and core numeracy techniques into your daily instruction to drive pupil progress.
• Classroom Team Leadership: Direct, inspire, and manage a dedicated team of Teaching Assistants within your room, ensuring a coordinated, safe, and positive approach to learning and behaviour management.
• Holistic Assessment: Utilise robust assessment protocols to accurately monitor, record, and celebrate individual pupil academic milestones and personal growth.
• Multidisciplinary Liaison: Collaborate regularly with onsite key staff, including the SENCO, year-group leads, and senior leadership, to ensure targeted support for SEND and EAL pupils.
• Parental Partnerships: Maintain sensitive, transparent, and encouraging communication with parents and carers, establishing a consistent network of support for every child's success.

What You'll Bring to the Team

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Mandatory. A proven track record of teaching within a mainstream UK primary school setting (ECTs and experienced teachers welcomed).
• Specialist Subject Knowledge: A deep understanding of adaptive teaching pedagogy, positive behaviour management strategies, and primary milestone expectations.
• Emotional Resilience: A calm, grounded, and patient demeanour, with the ability to lead a classroom confidently and maintain a focused, supportive environment.
• Collaborative Spirit: A genuine desire to work as part of a highly unified teaching team that puts the holistic well-being of the child first.
• Compliance: An Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to process a new one via Randstad).
