Service Manager- Surgery Division | Barts Health NHS Trust

The post holder will play a central role in ensuring the delivery of high quality, safe, and compassionate care, and in driving operational excellence and service improvement across both specialties. You will work closely with the Associate General Manger, Clinical Leads, Clinical Nurse Specialists, and senior colleagues across the Trust to deliver national and local performance standards, improve patient pathways, and support service transformation.

The Service Manager is a key management role and is responsible for the operational deliveryofallaspectsoftheserviceareas acrosstheWhippsCrossSite,Keyaimsare:

· Providetimely,efficientandeffectiveoperationalservicemanagementsupportforall specialities within surgery, assisting the Clinical Director, Lead Clinicians and General Manager to ensure that these services are responsive, innovative and provided to the highest possible clinical and performance standards.

· Takeforwardagreedprojectstoimproveservicedeliveryandpatient experiencein key areas.

· Leadonensuringthatallperformance/qualitytargetsaremet.

· Problem solve as appropriate, and develop and implement lasting solutions in conjunction with clinical colleagues. To be a key member of the Division’s Tier 3 ManagementTeam,takingfullresponsibilityforactionsandforkeepingother team members fully informed at all times.
