SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Wirral, CH45
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-time
Working Hours: 8:30 – 15:30
Pay: Pay to scale
About the Role:
Prospero Teaching is excited to announce an opportunity for a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Wirral area. The strongest applicant will have confidence in Mathematics and English.
Whether you’re an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for your next career step, transitioning from the care sector into education, or a recent graduate eager to kick-start your career, this role could be perfect for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to children with additional needs, ensuring their safety and engagement in learning activities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Support classroom teachers with daily activities and maintain a stimulating classroom environment.
- Encourage student independence and confidence.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children.
- Experience supporting individuals with additional needs.
- Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable, but not essential as training will be provided).
- Right to Work in the UK.
- Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or willingness to apply for a new one.
- Ability to provide a minimum of two professional references.
