Financial Controller
£65k - £75k per annumFull-time
Sheridan Maine is excited to be partnering with a dynamic organisation based in Southampton. They are seeking a Financial Controller on a contract basis, with extensive experience in managing the finance function and a small team.
The key responsibilities of this role will include:- Managing the end-to-end accounting function for the business.
- Overseeing payroll processing and credit control activities.
- Producing statutory reports and submitting accounts.
- Supporting, mentoring, and upskilling a small finance team as needed.
- Playing a key role in producing analysis and commentary for all business reports in a timely manner.
- Being a strong team player and collaborating closely with the Finance Director and assisting with ad hoc tasks as required.
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or QBE with substantial relevant experience.
- Proven management and leadership experience.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with finance and non-finance individuals.
- Advanced Excel and systems skills.
- Experience overseeing transactional finance, especially payroll operations.
