Skills and Qualities

We are seeking a reliable teacher who demonstrates a strong commitment to delivering regular weekly lessons. The ideal candidate will work well as part of a team, showing a collaborative approach and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances and requirements. Openness to constructive feedback is essential for ongoing professional growth and improvement.

The successful applicant should display a genuine passion for enjoyable, interactive teaching, paired with high levels of engagement in all aspects of their role. It is essential that the teacher is able to differentiate to accommodate different learning styles, interests and abilities in order to offer the highest quality, bespoke tuition.

Outstanding communication skills are required, enabling clear and effective interaction with students, colleagues, and parents.

A consistently positive and approachable attitude is vital, fostering a welcoming and supportive environment for students and staff.

Teaching Responsibilities

Teachers are expected to foster a calm and supportive classroom environment, building meaningful connections with students to enhance their learning experience. Lessons should be delivered in an engaging manner, tailored to meet the individual needs of each student through personalised, face-to-face teaching.

Adaptability is essential, with lessons adjusted as necessary for both individual pupils and small groups, ensuring that different ages and abilities are accommodated. Teachers should encourage students to progress at their own pace and actively recognise their achievements, supporting both academic and personal growth.

An understanding of the impact of emotional and social learning on academic performance is fundamental, with teachers demonstrating effective approaches to educating the whole child.

Teachers are required to use the centre’s computer system to record each student’s attendance and detailed lesson notes consistently and promptly.

A close working relationship with parents must be maintained, with regular updates provided on students’ progress. Additionally, teachers are responsible for assigning homework to students as necessary, supporting ongoing learning outside of lesson time.
