St John’s RC Academy is looking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic Faculty Head of English, Languages and Communication (Secondary) within our all-through school.

As part of the school’s leadership team, the successful candidate will lead and manage a team of teaching staff across designated curricular areas.

You will work collaboratively within an extended team to deliver both universal and targeted support for young people and their families, enabling them to succeed within school, achieve their best and move on to positive destinations.

About the School

Set at the top of Perth’s North Inch and overlooking the River Tay, St John's RC Academy is at the heart of the North Inch Community Campus.  Our 2-18 all-through school provides education for over one thousand children and young people from nursery to S6.  The campus is a hub of opportunities for the local community, utilising state of the art sports and cultural facilities, offering a wide range of services for all ages.

Skills & Experience Required

The successful candidate will:

• Demonstrate a high standard of learning and teaching.
• Have experience of planning and delivering engaging learning experiences which meet the needs of all learners.
• Have a proven track record of building strong relationships and collaborative working practices.
• Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with learners, families, colleagues and partners.
• Be committed to promoting the school values of fairness, achievement, respect and love through positive role modelling.

Where your application is successful, you will be required to attain the necessary paperwork from to obtain RC approval from the Catholic Church Authorities.

As this is a promoted teaching post, the possession of a Catholic Teaching Certificate (CTC) is an expectation.

As this is a promoted teaching post, the possession of a Catholic Teaching Certificate (CTC) is an expectation.
