​Installation Technician - 2 Month FTC

Job Summary

• Responsible for installation of telecare alarms and a wide range of technology enabled care (TEC) devices. 
• Performing repairs on TEC devices. 
• Collecting any devices following cancellation of services. 
• In line with the service centre multi skilling practices, there will be, when operational reasons dictate, the need to undertake warehouse duties when warehouse staff are absent or on leave or in line with operational and workload requirements. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Reprogramming  

• Telecare devices following procedures depending on the manufacturers. 

Installing and collecting of equipment  

• To install the telecare equipment in conjunction with the approved assessments and associated paperwork. Respond to any emergencies or planned maintenance of telecare equipment within the service as required. Decommissioning and retrieval of telecare equipment as required. 

Repairs  

• Responsible for carrying out repairs of telecare equipment in line with the service contract.

Spares  

• Ensure that your vehicle is adequately stocked with spare equipment to ensure that the maintenance of telecare equipment is able to be performed in line with the needs of the service contract and to ensure that service users are not left in a vulnerable position 

Tooling  

• Responsible for your tools. You must take responsibility for any tools issued. Any problems must be reported to the service centre supervisor. 

Administration  

• Where applicable you must use your scanner or mobile for every movement of product, whether delivery/collection, repair or exchange. Also, you are responsible for obtaining all signatures on the documentation issued to you for this purpose. On your return to the service centre, all documentation must be handed to your supervisor within the centre’s guidelines. You must ensure that all information is recorded accurately onto the system or in line with Livity procedures/guidelines. 

Communication  

• Any problems that you have had with any job or product must be reported, verbally and in writing, to your supervisor and/or Manager.

Qualifications  

• Qualified to GCSE level or equivalent - Essential
