About this opportunity

As a Cost Manager, you will support the delivery of a full cost management service across a range of sectors and project types.  Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing cost plans, estimates and reports at different project stages
• Supporting procurement strategy, tender documentation and tender analysis
• Managing valuations, change control and cost reporting
• Supporting contract administration and commercial management
• Preparing and agreeing final accounts
• Building strong working relationships with clients, consultants and project teams
• Contributing to the continued growth and reputation of the Oxford cost management team

Who we're looking for:

Skills, knowledge & experience

You will bring the following to this role:

• Experience in cost management, quantity surveying or cost estimating
• Relevant industry experience within construction consultancy or contractor environments
• Good commercial awareness and an understanding of project cost control
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
• Confidence working with clients and wider project teams
• A positive, inclusive approach and an interest in supporting team success
• The ability to manage priorities across varied projects
• A commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes for clients

Qualifications

• A RICS accredited qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related built environment discipline
• Professional membership of the RICS (MRICS or FRICS) or,
• Significant progress towards RICS APC
