Job TitleCommunications Lead LocationAny UK hub (Cumbernauld, Milton Keynes, Middlebrook, London with regular travel) Contract and working patternHybrid with 3 days on site, permanent 37.5 hours per week What we’re looking for…As our Communications Lead, you will shape and build our internal and external communications across a broad range of initiatives. A specialist role dedicated to building, engaging, and connecting the "One AG Barr" community culture, you will predominantly (approximately 80%) focus on our internal audience - owning the strategic execution of the internal events calendar and orchestrating rich internal content streams to drive employee engagement - the remaining portion of the role is externally facing. In this capacity, you will play a key supportive role in assisting the Head of Communications with external media, sponsorship and product placement enquiries and crisis communications. Acting as the delivery lead for corporate charity partnerships and internal communications channels (including Fizz and digital screen networks), this role transitions the company from basic "broadcast" updates to highly dynamic, strategic community-building. This position relies heavily on internal channel data to continually adjust strategies, maximise reach, and provide operational and reputation support to the wider Communications function. ResponsibilitiesInternal Communications & CampaignsChannel Management: Manage day-to-day content and community engagement on internal platforms (Fizz and digital screens) to drive dynamic, two-way dialogue.Campaign Delivery: Design and execute strategic campaigns for brand launches, wellbeing, reward and benefits, performance, and company surveys.Agile Messaging: Draft and distribute timely BAU updates and enterprise-wide reactive communications.Events & CultureEvent Leadership: Own the planning, logistics, and execution of high-production events, including Board sessions, ExCo lunches, Roadshows, and Wellfest.Culture & Morale: Develop culture-building initiatives, colleague gifting, and social events to boost morale and connection across teams.Analytics & StrategyData-Driven Optimization: Evaluate channel analytics to track campaign reach, using insights to refine messaging strategies across all UK hubs.Charity & CommunityPartnerships & Impact: Manage corporate charity relationships, coordinate group-wide volunteering initiatives, and create visual impact reporting.Governance & OperationsReporting & Risk: Act as Communications Pillar Lead, providing monthly strategic updates, risk tracking, and reporting to leadership.PR & Crisis Support: Assist the Head of Comms with media inquiries, sponsorships, product placement, and crisis messaging.Administration: Oversee financial workflows, including raising POs, with flexibility for periodic out-of-hours event support.Requirements3+ years of experience personally managing high-production corporate events.Experience designing internal marketing or culture campaigns that improve employee engagement metrics.Deep proficiency managing active user engagement on internal communication platforms such as Fizz or corporate intranets, including deploying rich multimedia formats.Proven ability to autonomously manage ExCo-level stakeholders under pressure without local management supervision.Experience in media relations, sponsorship communications or partnerships, charity partnership communications, and crisis communications.Experience managing external media contacts, charity partners, and sponsorship partners.Ability to travel across the UK 2-3 times per month and as required.Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.Experience managing site leaders across UK hubs and senior internal teams would be an advantage.
