Could you see your future as an SEN Teacher, Educational Psychologist or another specialist supporting young people with additional needs?
Want hands-on experience that goes far beyond a conventional Teaching Assistant position?

This is an exceptional opportunity for a graduate who wants to build a career within SEND, Educational Psychology or specialist education and needs meaningful experience working directly with young people.
You'll become part of a multidisciplinary environment where education is tailored around the individual, giving you first-hand experience of how specialist professionals work together to help pupils progress.
Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant - The Opportunity
* £25,000-£30,000 per annum
* Alternatively, an equivalent weekly rate of minimum £550 per week
* Full-time position throughout the 2026/27 academic year
* Gain extensive, practical SEND experience
* Provide structured 1:1 and small-group support
* Work with pupils with EHCPs and additional learning needs
* Support academic, social and emotional development
* Develop your understanding of different barriers to learning
* Help pupils develop communication, confidence and independence

* Excellent foundation for SEN teacher training and related postgraduate study A Specialist Environment Where Every Step Matters This Manchester specialist school provides an individualised approach to education for young people who require additional support to thrive. As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll play a direct role in those moments. Your day could involve supporting an individual pupil through their learning programme, delivering a structured intervention, helping with communication and emotional regulation or working alongside specialist staff to implement personalised strategies. You'll learn to observe progress, adapt your communication and understand why different approaches work for different young people. Who Are We Looking For? Applications are particularly welcomed from graduates in: Psychology | Education | Childhood Studies | Neuroscience | Linguistics | Sociology | English | Science and related disciplines A 2:1 or First-Class degree is highly desirable. Previous SEND experience is beneficial but not essential. More important is your patience, emotional maturity, resilience, reliability and genuine interest in understanding young people. Aspiring Educational Psychologist or SEN Teacher? If your long-term ambition involves Educational Psychology, SEN teaching, child development or specialist education, relevant experience matters. This is your opportunity to spend an academic year developing it every day. Send your CV to Ryan at KPI Education today to apply for this Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant opportunity in Manchester.
