Position Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and innovative Music lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, fostering a love of music and nurturing students' musical talents. They will collaborate with colleagues within the Music department and across the wider school community to create a dynamic and enriching learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver inspiring Music lessons in line with the national curriculum and school's educational philosophy.
• Employ a range of teaching strategies to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of the Music curriculum.
• Participate in extracurricular music activities, such as ensembles, concerts, and productions.

Qualifications and Experience

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification in Music.
• Proven experience teaching Music at the secondary level.
• A strong understanding of the national curriculum for Music.
• Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for sharing musical knowledge and skills.
• The ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
