Production Operative - Newtown

We’re undergoing recruitment for Production Operatives for our prestigious client in the Newtown area. Successful candidates will play a vital role in manufacturing and packaging products. This may involve repetitive work, standing for long periods of time and ensuring high quality of products.

• Monday – Friday
• 06:45 – 15:30
• £12.60 per hour

• Pitman shifts: (Working 5 days Wk/1 & 2 Days Wk/2 rotating)
• £13.86 per hour
• 06:00 - 18:00

Main roles and responsibilities:

• Adhere to production schedules to meet targets and deadlines.
• Inspect products for consistency, quality, and labelling accuracy.
• Report and address any discrepancies or defects in raw materials or finished goods.
• Conduct basic tests to ensure product safety and quality standards are met.
• Assemble and label packaging materials according to specifications.
• Box, palletise, and prepare products for distribution.
• Follow strict hygiene protocols to maintain high standards.
• Clean and sanitise equipment, work areas, and tools as per safety standards.
• Comply with Health and Safety regulations, using personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
• Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth production.
• Assist in troubleshooting machinery and escalating maintenance issues.
• Monitor stock levels of packaging materials.
• Assist in receiving and storing supplies in designated areas.

Skills and qualities:

• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions precisely.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
• Previous experience in production, manufacturing, or a similar environment is desirable.
